Millions of Americans start their day the same exact way…

Boil some water, and drop in your favorite tea bag.

Humans have been drinking tea for thousands of years… we’ve even been told it’s healthy.

But the tea industry now has a nasty little secret that they don’t want you to know about.

And you could actually be poisoning yourself with every cup.

The problem is that your favorite tea bag may have a whole lot more than tea in it.

Lots of tea bags today are made using petroleum-based plastics like polypropylene to heat-seal the edges shut.

And those silky, pyramid-shaped tea bags you may have seen around? They’re often made entirely of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

The end result is that lots of people are absolutely poisoning themselves with microplastics that are seeping into every cup of tea.

And the science proves it…

Back in 2019, researchers from McGill University in Canada tested plastic mesh tea bags at brewing temperature and found that a single tea bag released approximately 11.6 billion microplastic particles.

An experiment conducted by Spanish researchers was even worse.

It found that some tea bags were leaching more than 1 billion microplastic particles per milliliter of tea – and the average cup of tea might be 240 mL.

So the numbers get really scary… really fast.

What’s the harm of drinking billions of microplastics particles every day?

The truth is, we still don’t fully know all of the health effects of microplastics… but all the news so far has been bad.

A 2024 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found artery plaque loaded with microplastics. And the people with the most microplastics were at much higher risk for heart attack, stroke, or even death.

Then, in 2025, a Nature Medicine study found higher levels of microplastics in the brains of seniors with dementia, as compared to people who were dementia-free.

And just this year, scientists from New York University found that microplastics were concentrated at 2.5 times higher levels in prostate cancer tissue than nearby healthy tissue.

Now, trust me, this is one area where you are absolutely going to have to protect yourself. We are surrounded by plastics, and there are trillion-dollar industries with vested interests in keeping you from EVER knowing the truth.

But the fact is, there is ZERO evidence that microplastics are safe… and there’s a growing body of research that proves they’re dangerous.

One of the simplest ways to protect yourself is to ditch those morning tea bags for good. People have drunk tea for thousands of years – but not this way.

Go back to loose leaves and straining (with metal, not plastic strainers).

That’ll add up to billions of plastic particles per day kept out of your tea… instead of going straight into your body.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
