For millions of Americans with diabetes, the story usually unfolds the same way.

First your blood sugar starts creeping up.

Your doctor tells you to “keep an eye on it.”

Then comes pre-diabetes. And eventually…Type 2 diabetes.

Now, you’re on medications for life to pull sugar out of your blood.

But what if that’s the wrong strategy?

What if the real problem is deep inside your cells?

In a controlled clinical trial involving people with Type 2 diabetes…fasting blood sugar dropped by nearly 30% in just four weeks.

It was all because of a strange blue compound that wasn’t a drug… and doesn’t work like any of the typical diabetes drugs on the market today.

And it just may change everything we thought we knew about the root cause of diabetes.

The study was a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial involving adults diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

In other words, the gold standard scientists typically use to test pharmaceutical drugs.

Researchers recruited 42 volunteers and randomly divided them into two groups.

One group received a placebo.

The other received 300 mg of a plant compound called Blueberin (100 mg before each meal).

Blueberin is a concentrated extract derived from the leaves of the blueberry plant and rich in a flavonoid called myricetin, along with other protective plant polyphenols.

Participants took the supplement daily for four weeks while researchers monitored several markers tied to metabolic health.

By the end of the trial, the differences between the groups were striking.

Among those taking the Blueberin extract…

Average fasting blood sugar fell from 143 mg/dL to 104 mg/dL.

That works out to roughly a 27% drop in just one month.

The placebo group?

They saw virtually no change.

For comparison, the most commonly prescribed diabetes drug typically lowers long-term blood sugar markers by about 1–1.5 percentage points over several months.

But blood sugar wasn’t the only improvement researchers recorded.

Another important marker, C-reactive protein (CRP), also changed dramatically.

CRP is a major indicator of inflammation in the body and is strongly linked to diabetes complications, heart disease, and metabolic damage.

In the Blueberin group…CRP levels dropped by more than 58%.

Researchers also saw improvements in liver enzyme markers, suggesting the compound may reduce metabolic stress on the liver, one of the key organs responsible for controlling blood sugar.

So how could a plant compound trigger changes like this?

Scientists believe the secret lies in anthocyanins and flavonoids, the protective pigments responsible for the deep blue color of blueberries.

These compounds appear to help:

  • Improve the way cells respond to insulin
  • Reduce inflammatory signals that interfere with metabolism
  • Protect tissues from oxidative damage

In simple terms…

Instead of simply forcing glucose out of the bloodstream like many diabetes drugs do…

These compounds help restore the normal metabolic signals inside your cells that keep blood sugar balanced in the first place.

It’s an entirely new approach to managing blood sugar… and the results speak for themselves.

Now here’s the catch.

The levels of these compounds used in the study are far higher than what you’d get from eating a handful of berries.

Which is why researchers used a standardized plant extract.

Today, you can get the exact supplement they used in the study called Blue 1 – Blueberin, which contains concentrated blueberry-derived polyphenols and flavonoids.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
