Cholesterol-lowering statins are some of the worst drugs ever foisted on the American public.

And that’s saying something…

They leave countless people with crippling muscle pain…

They send your risk of everything from diabetes to cataracts through the roof…

Oh, and they don’t really work, either.

But now, there’s a new movement afoot to make American seniors even LESS aware of the risks of statins.

This whole scheme stinks of rotten Big Pharma brainwashing…

And I’m going to tell you everything you need to know – because we can’t let them get away with it.

A new study published in The Lancet is suggesting we pare down the warning labels on statins… and that maybe those warnings are “overly cautious.”

I mean, my jaw dropped to the floor…

What, are they suddenly having trouble selling these things? There are more than 30 million Americans on statins right now – that’s like the entire population of Texas.

So the current warnings aren’t slowing down the Big Pharma money train one bit.

And, by the way, when the heck did “overly cautious” become a problem in medicine? Only profit-driven drug companies would ever think that way.

Which brings me to my next point…

I’m taking this so-called “research” about as seriously as a Three Stooges episode.

The authors had to list their industry relationships at the end – and it was hard to find a drug company they hadn’t worked with.

The authors claimed they were worried that “the safety of statins has been undermined by long lists of potential adverse effects,” and that doctors might inadvertently “emphasize potential harms more than expected benefits.”

Well, let me say this as clearly as I can…

THERE ARE NO BENEFITS. ONLY HARMS.

In fact, I think the warning labels on statins should be expanded – and here’s the first warning I’d add:

WARNING #1: There’s not a snowball’s chance in Hades
that this drug will save your life.

I’m not kidding. The statistics behind statins are ABYSMAL… some of the worst I’ve ever seen in my medical career.

It all comes down to something known as “number needed to treat.” That’s the number of patients you need to treat to get a desired outcome, like preventing a heart attack, stroke, or death.

Even for people WITH known heart disease, you have to treat 83 people for FIVE YEARS to save a single life!

And if you don’t have existing heart disease? You have to treat 104 people for five years to prevent a single heart attack… and 154 people to stop a single stroke.

In fact, for lots of people, you are more likely to develop diabetes on statins than avoid a heart attack.

These are FACTS. Statins are junk medicine at its very worst.

And most people are never told that there’s practically no chance they will benefit from statins treatment.

Now, they want to trim down the warning labels. It’s total insanity, but this is how ideas gain momentum.

Of course, never quit a drug without talking to your doctor first.

But now you know the truth about statins. And they can’t take that away from you, no matter which shenanigans they pull behind the scenes.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
