Let’s be honest: Most doctors will tell you diabetes is a ticking time bomb you can’t avoid—especially if you’re over 55 and overweight.

But a major international research team just found a way to slash your risk by 31%.

No pills. No complicated diets. No gym memberships.

Just three small tweaks you can start doing right now.

And here’s the kicker…

It’s based on a natural lifestyle approach that’s been around for centuries—but has only recently earned the stamp of approval from modern medicine.

You’ve probably heard us talk about the Mediterranean diet: fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, olive oil, lean proteins, and barely any red meat.

On its own, it’s already known to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity.

But researchers from 23 institutions—including Harvard and Spain’s top universities—wanted to see what happens when you add a few simple strategies to this already-powerful approach.

In a massive 6-year trial of nearly 5,000 adults aged 55 to 75, they discovered that adding just three elements took diabetes prevention to a whole new level:

1. Cut Calories (Slightly)
Participants trimmed about 600 calories from their daily intake—just enough to support weight loss without extreme restriction.

2. Move Your Body (Moderately)
They incorporated moderate physical activity like brisk walking, light strength training, and balance exercises a few times per week.

3. Get Some Support
Participants had access to weight-loss guidance and encouragement—not intense coaching, just regular check-ins and help staying on track.

Compared to those who only followed the Mediterranean diet, the group who adopted all three tweaks:

  • Had a 31% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes
  • Lost 5–7 pounds more on average
  • Trimmed over an inch off their waistlines

As Harvard’s Dr. Frank Hu put it, these simple changes could prevent millions of diabetes cases worldwide.

So why haven’t you heard this before?

Because mainstream medicine often focuses on managing diabetes—not preventing it.

But you deserve better.

You deserve to know that small, sustainable changes—like how you eat and when you move—can rewrite your future.

This is the kind of science that should be shouted from the rooftops.

Instead, it’s buried in journals.

But not here.

We’ll keep uncovering the truth—and giving you the tools to take your health into your own hands.

To keeping your fork in your salad and your feet on the move,

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
