Researchers in Japan have discovered that the very food antigens found in meat and milk—yes, those “evil” animal proteins we’re constantly told to avoid—may actually be the key to preventing tumors in your gut!

Scientists at the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences conducted a study using mice prone to intestinal tumors. They fed some mice a normal diet and others an “antigen-free diet” (AFD)—basically, the kind of ultra-processed junk that Big Food loves to push.

Mice on the AFD developed significantly more tumors in their small intestines compared to those eating real food.

In other words, meat protein literally stopped cancer in its tracks!
