Friend, I love a good cup of TEA.

It’s no secret that drinking tea is one of the BEST things you can do for your health.

Today, we’re pulling back the curtain about the health benefits of a specific type of tea that can SLASH your risk of type 2 diabetes by nearly HALF!

It’s time to drink up!

Most types of tea are effective at blood sugar control and lowering your risk of diabetes.

But a new study, published in the journal Diabetologia, has honed in a specific tea that’s especially effective against diabetes…

It’s DARK TEA.

Dark tea undergoes microbial fermentation—a process that some teas (like green tea) don’t go through. So, it’s more about the processing method than the color itself.

And when looking for dark tea, it’s also referred to as “Hei Cha” online or in specialty tea shops – this ensures it goes through its unique fermentation process.

And according to the study, it helps decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes by nearly half! (47% to be exact)

But what makes dark tea better than other teas against type 2 diabetes?

According to the new study it’s most due to dark tea’s unique production process which involves microbial fermentation—a process that produces bioactive compounds like alkaloids, free amino acids, polyphenols, polysaccharides, and derivatives.

Studies have found that these natural compounds have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties AND can enhance insulin sensitivity—all of which can help prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

One of the most common types of dark tea is Pu’er tea—which can be found at many coffee and/or tea retailers. Look to make sure that it has been fermented as that’s going to ensure that the anti-diabetic properties remain intact.

To natural diabetes control,
