It’s no secret that a LACK of exercise can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes

But even if you’re exercising to get your diabetes under control, you need to be careful WHEN and HOW you exercise in order to avoid health complications.

If you’re confused, today I’ve got the details on what works… and what’s off limits.

A study published in the journal Diabetes Care determined that men with type 2 diabetes who exercise in the MORNING face a greater risk of suffering a heart attack.

Researchers looked at over 2,000 men with type 2 diabetes over a four-year time period and found that those who engaged in exercise during ‘morning’ hours showed more signs of heart disease down the road compared to those who exercised later in the day.

Now, more research continues to be done on the connection between exercise ‘timing’, diabetes, and heart disease.

But it’s important to note that working out early in the day isn’t inherently unhealthy … but it’s worth considering that later-day exercise may have better long-term health outcomes.

And ladies, just because this study was done on men… there’s no reason to ignore this link.

So, if you’re already working out and getting physical activity… keep it going!

Staying active is still one of the best ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

If you’re looking to start an exercise routine (or perhaps make a change to your schedule), consider carving out time during your lunch hour or during the afternoon.

Taking a brisk, afternoon walk while listening to an audio book is a great way to stay active without feeling like you need to get up at the crack of dawn.

To optimizing exercise,
