Oh, those dreaded household chores.

Some days, we’ll come up with any excuse we can to AVOID doing them.

I don’t know many people clamoring to knock out tedious chores around the house…

But what if I told you that tending to them could SAVE your heart?

Check out the research that could motivate you to finally knock out that “honey-do” list…

According to a research study from University of California-San Diego, things like household chores and other “to-do list” items can help protect you against heart disease!

The study found that women who spent four hours a day performing “daily life movements”—such as chores, washing dishes, gardening, or shopping—were:

  • 62% less likely to die from cardiovascular or coronary heart disease
  • 43% less likely to develop either condition
  • 30% less likely to suffer a stroke

Now, a couple things to note…

Frist, hardly anyone has four hours each day to devote to ‘chores.’

But the study noted that being up-and-about and tackling some of those items that never seem to get checked off your to-do list, are good for your overall health.

Second, while the study did focus on women… MEN can also benefit from getting up and tackling tasks around the house.

So, even though you may not have time to devote to traditional forms of physical activity like the gym, a jog, or even a long walk…

Simply staying active—even around the house—can reduce your risk of a significant health issue.

To health in the most unlikely places,

Sarah Reagan
