“5 steps” to add YEARS to your life (Study)
Who DOESN’T want to tack on a few extra years to their life?!
That’s more time traveling… more time with your family… and more time LIVING!
The good news is, ‘adding’ these valuable years is possible.
And according to research, all it takes is doing these very simple 5 steps.
(And no, it’s NOT exercising or taking some gimmicky ‘aging’ supplement…)
According to a research study published by the American Heart Association—which examined nearly two million adults worldwide—eating TWO servings of fruit and THREE servings of vegetables daily can help you live longer.
Diets rich in fruits and vegetables help reduce your risk for numerous chronic health conditions that raise the of an early death, including cardiovascular disease and cancer.
The study found that folks who consumed fruits and vegetables totaling five servings daily had a 13% lower risk of death from all causes!
Eating more fruits and veggies seems simple enough, right?
Well, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only one in 10 adults eat enough of these important food groups! So how do you ensure you’re getting enough fruits and veggies in YOUR diet?
The easiest—and most effective—way to up your fruit and veggie intake is to fill HALF your plate with fruits and vegetables at each meal.
For instance, if you like eating eggs and bacon in the morning, cover the rest of your plate with a couple of handfuls of strawberries and blueberries.
You can also consider a healthy eating lifestyle like Paleo, or the Mediterranean diet. Both focus on quality meats, fruits, and vegetables—no processed junk!
To healthy eating and a long life,
