Can the dairy aisle STOP deadly falls?
You don’t want to ADMIT it…
But your body just isn’t as STRONG as it was years ago.
It’s a harsh REALITY of the aging process.
And while eating healthy and staying active are great ways to keep your muscles and bones as strong as possible, it doesn’t mean you’re immune from the dangers of age-related weakness.
Meaning you could still be at risk of FALLS — which could lead to serious injury, hospitalization, and even DEATH.
In fact, it’s reported that nearly 36 MILLION older adults fall each year.
But today, you can start flipping that script… by heading to your grocery store’s DAIRY aisle!
A research trial published by The BMJ says that increasing your DAIRY intake reduces the risk of falls and fractures.
Yes, this is the dairy that the mainstream vilifies for being ‘too fatty.’
Despite dairy’s reputation of being an ‘unhealthy’ food group, foods like milk, yogurt, and cheese are packed with valuable nutrients like protein and calcium that are imperative for muscle and bone health. All of which are very important as you age.
In fact, the study found that an increased intake of dairy led to reductions in…
- 33% for all fractures,
- 46% for hip fractures,
- and 11% for falls.
I’ve never been shy about the merits of dairy. Not only is it good for your bones, but it’s even good for your heart.
Remember, none of this is an excuse to drink gallons of whole milk, or eat entire blocks of cheese.
But adding dairy in moderation is good for you and has valuable health benefits… especially for older adults.
To the power of dairy,
Sarah Reagan
