Add years to your life…WITHOUT exercise?!
You know it’s GOOD for you…
You know it’s going to keep you STRONG…
But even on your BEST days… you sometimes need a little motivation to EXERCISE.
And while many of us feel like exercise is a chore, we’ll all admit that getting a good workout is one of the single best things for overall health and well-being.
But if you’re a self-proclaimed exercise “dreader” – today I have some good news for you!
You see, there’s a little-known secret that can help your overall health and longevity without lifting a single weight or sweating on a treadmill.
And if you’re INTO getting your daily exercise? Well, it’s also going to help you, too!
A study out of West Virginia University has found that glucosamine supplements may reduce overall mortality about as well as regular exercise does.
The researchers who led this study found that taking a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement every day for a year or longer was associated with a 39% reduction in all-cause mortality.
But that’s not all…
Because of its heart-healthy composition, glucosamine was also linked to a 65% reduction in cardiovascular-related deaths.
This includes deaths from stroke, coronary artery disease, and heart disease (the United States’ biggest killer).
Now does this mean you should immediately ditch your exercise routine for glucosamine?
No, not exactly.
Researchers still recommend a regular exercise routine… BUT, when exercise is hard to come by, glucosamine is a good side-kick to regular physical activity.
If you’re not already taking glucosamine, one of the most popular glucosamine supplements out there is glucosamine/chondroitin.
Most online vitamin and health retailers sell bottles of glucosamine/chondroitin anywhere from $25 – $35 per bottle.
If you’re considering taking glucosamine as a supplement, be sure to research where you purchase it from and make sure it has a good reputation.
And as always, if you’re on any kind of prescription medications, be sure to talk to your doctor first.
To your prolonged life,
Sarah Reagan
