Friend, is there a worse feeling in the world than getting a bad night’s rest?

Heck, just one restless night under normal circumstance can make you feel like the WALKING DEAD.

And if you’re one of the 70% of older Americans who struggle with sleep, chances are a bad night’s sleep doesn’t just happen occasionally… it happens ALL THE TIME!

I’ll also bet that there’s not a lot you wouldn’t TRY – or SPEND – just to get some quality shuteye time.

If you’ve forked over a small fortune for special mattresses or jazzy pillows and blankets… and STILL aren’t getting the rest you need

Don’t throw in the towel just yet.

This time it’s a “pre-bed” routine (no, not THAT pre-bed activity) …

That has PROVEN to help older adults like yourself finally SLEEP BETTER!

And once you try it, you’ll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner!

Music ‘therapy’ before bed can improve your overall sleep quality.

Researchers out of Taiwan have found that older adults who listen to music before bed enjoy a significantly BETTER sleep than those who fall asleep in silence.

But it’s not just ANY kind of music (after all, could you imagine falling asleep to rock and roll?!).

The study found that listening to “sedative music” led to the highest increase in sleep quality. Sedative music is unique as it helps aid in the release of cortisol, a hormone that lowers levels of anxiety and stress, thus leading to better sleep.

Sedative tunes typically have a slow tempo, between 60 and 80 beats per minute, a soft volume, and smooth melody.

While sedative music isn’t a typical ‘genre’ of music like jazz or classical, it’s actually easier than you think to start listening to it.

Popular streaming music services like Apple Music or Amazon Music have sedative music playlists or stations that you can listen to on your smartphone.

Instead of watching television before bed, consider five to 10 minutes of music before bed. It just may lead to the best night’s sleep you’ve had in a long time!

To better sleep,

Sarah Reagan
