Hard-to-Find ‘Oil’ Builds Muscle at ANY Age (Wow!)
You know the saying: age is just a number…
And it certainly hasn’t stopped you from staying active and mobile!
But no matter how many weights you lift, or miles you walk…
Each passing year does inevitably mean you’re going to LOSE SOME MUSCLE.
The good news?
You can counteract this natural aging process.
The secret is in combining exercise and activity with the right balance of specific nutrients that can help repair and RESTORE your muscles.
And today I’ve got the scoop on how one hard-to-find oil can help you achieve all of that… at ANY age!
Krill oil is a top source of the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil, which can also play a role in building muscle.
But krill oil isn’t your run-of-the-mill fish oil. It has a little something extra in the muscle building department.
It’s a terrific source of choline – a hard-to-find nutrient essential to muscle function (among other benefits).
In fact, in a study of more than 100 seniors, krill oil beat a placebo in four key measures of muscle:
- 10.9% increase in grip strength…
- 9.3% jump in thigh muscle strength…
- 3.5% rise in thigh muscle thickness…
- And, a 17% increase in M wave — an important measure of your overall neuromuscular system.
I’m the first one to tell you that fish oil is great for a number of health benefits… so I’ll definitely steer you towards krill oil, too.
And when it comes to maintaining your strength, don’t forget to stay active on a daily basis.
If you’re hitting the gym or playing tennis with friends, keep it up! But even a brisk walk around your neighborhood (or some chair exercises on a rainy day) are great alternatives.
I also highly recommend branched-chain amino acids to ensure your muscles get ALL of the essential amino acids they need each day and in the right amounts.
And speaking of staying active, check out this afternoon’s eAlert for an inside look on why activity is only part of the equation when it comes to maintaining a healthy weight.
To maintaining your valuable strength,
