[WARNING] Med given to dementia patients could KILL!
YOU see a desperate loved one who’s struggling with dementia.
But the drug industry?
THEY see a chance to CASH IN on the pain… the hurt… the misery… and the struggles…
And not just in the OBVIOUS ways.
You’ve no doubt heard all about the BIG swindle earlier this year — when an Alzheimer’s med that FLUNKED two major studies was given a quick approval by the FDA.
It generated so many headlines that most people now have at least SOME idea that the $56,000-year-a-year drug will break both hearts and bank accounts.
But there’s ANOTHER swindle going on behind the scenes.
And most people HAVEN’T heard of it!
So today, I’m going to blow the lid off this one… as new research exposes the horrifying truth about a common antidepressant given to Alzheimer’s patients.
The dementia drug SWINDLE
Dementia isn’t just memory loss.
The industry likes to forget it… but there’s still a human being in there…
One who senses their world is changing, going dark… and who’s absolutely FRIGHTENED by it.
So OF COURSE these folks suffer from mood disturbances. Some are even prone to aggression and outbursts.
I’d say that’s perfectly understandable.
How would you feel if you woke up tomorrow and didn’t know WHERE you were… WHO was around you… or WHAT they were doing to you?
Try seeing it from THAT end… and it becomes A LOT easier to sympathize.
But the drug industry doesn’t want to UNDERSTAND. They want to SELL.
So, for years, they’ve been selling drugs with the promise of making dementia patients calm… snoozy… and less likely to act out.
They tried giving them antipsychotics and sleep aids… but studies found those drugs could actually RAISE the risk of death.
Now, the new study finds a common antidepressant called mirtazapine often given for agitation in dementia patients is also a BIG, FAT ZERO.
It DOESN’T lead to any improvements in behavior, compared to a placebo.
It DOES do something, though.
It RAISES the risk of an early death by as much as 7X!
If you’re caring for a loved one with dementia, there are 2 much better ways to deal with many of the related issues such as agitation and mood swings:
Environment: Keep everything around them as familiar and comforting as possible, which usually means the things they love… whether it’s music, hobbies, games, or just regular walks in the park. And keep things to a routine as much as you can.
Diet: Many of the changes of dementia… even the dementia itself… can be related to toxins in the food. So, get back to basics with all-natural meals made fresh.
And while you’re at it, work with a naturopathic doc who can help you identify the non-drug treatments that may help SLOW or even REVERSE dementia and related issues…
Including ginkgo biloba… phosphatidylserine… chelation therapy… and high-dose intravenous vitamin C.
