Mystery ‘vitamin’ helps keep aging bones from CRUMBLING
Friend, I don’t need to tell you how IMPORTANT your bones are to your overall health.
You already KNOW how they support your strength… mobility… and independence.
But if you’re like too many folks, you don’t think much about your bone health until something BAD happens.
And that’s when the RUDE AWAKENING happens.
Because once you BREAK a bone… it might not just be DISABLING.
It could be DEADLY.
Don’t let it get to that point without doing something to help SHORE UP healthy bones as you age.
Today, I’m here to share something NEW with you that may be worth a try – something entirely DIFFERENT that could help both older gals AND guys!
PQQ (short for pyrroloquinoline quinone) is still a bit of a mystery to the modern-day scientific community… even though it was first discovered DECADES ago.
Because while this antioxidant has been referred to as a “longevity vitamin”… no one has decided for sure if it’s a TRUE vitamin!
Whether it’s actually a “new vitamin”… or just a vitamin-like compound… its anti-aging benefits are UNDENIABLE.
And that’s true when it comes to your brain… AND your bones.
Past research has shown how it supports the formation of NEW bone tissue…
And REINS IN the process of bone resorption… or the “clearing out” of OLD bone tissue.
A 2017 animal study found that PQQ could even help STAVE OFF osteoporosis caused by testosterone deficiency.
Now, you might think of bone loss as a “women’s problem” – and it’s true that PLUMMETING levels of estrogen after menopause is associated with a greater risk of low bone mineral density and osteoporosis.
But according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, up to 1 in 4 older guys over 50 will break a bone due to this disease…
And believe it or not, those odds are WORSE than those of getting prostate cancer!
That’s not all…
Because a bone fracture can be even MORE devastating for an older guy than for an older gal… with a GREATER risk of disability or death.
Yet too many guys don’t think about their bone health much at all.
Now, PQQ doesn’t leave older gals out in the cold when it comes to supporting aging bones…
Because in a 2019 animal study out of China, supplementing with PQQ helped BEAT BACK estrogen deficiency-induced osteoporosis.
In fact, its effects were comparable to estrogen replacement therapy…
Even though consuming PQQ had ZERO effects on the study subjects’ estrogen levels!
This is good news if you might be worried about the risks of menopausal hormone therapy…
Which include cancer… stroke… and more.
Now, we don’t yet have clinical trials on people to help determine what the best dosage of PQQ is for bone health…
But most of the evidence so far points to the fact that a little of it goes a long way.
Most supplements are sold as capsules that contain 20 to 40 mg… but it’s possible that dosages as low as 2 mg may have some effect.
Talk to an integrative doc to see what might be a good starting point for you to try.
To plugging up the “bone drain,”
