You haven’t traveled in AGES…

So you might think you’re in the clear when it comes to “travelers’ diarrhea“… a.k.a. “Montezuma’s Revenge.”

But you don’t necessarily have to be visiting the Third World to get INFECTED by something that could give you the runs.

That’s especially true when you consider how the OVERUSE of antibiotics in this country has opened the door to so-called “superbugs“…

Some of which can lead to stools that are ON THE LOOSE!

It’s a vicious cycle…

And it’s time to stop it.

That’s why it’s so exciting that there’s a natural bacteria-killer used in the most remote and tropical Asian islands…

One that could help REDUCE our reliance on antibiotics

And help BEAT BACK potentially deadly cases of diarrhea!

A rose by the name of myrtle

Rose myrtle (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa) is a flowering shrub that’s TREASURED for its beauty in Asian gardens.

But in countries like China… Thailand… and Malaysia…

It’s also a source of digestive medicine!

Traditional medical practitioners have harvested the rose myrtle bush for its fuzzy fruits… leaves… bark… and roots…

And “rose myrtle wine“… a.k.a. “ruou sim“… is a medicinal liqueur from Vietnam, made from the shrub’s berries.

Most commonly, folks consume rose myrtle for digestive complaints like stomach upset and diarrhea – even cases of potentially DEADLY diarrhea, as with dysentery.

But it’s not just a “home remedy” or “wives’ tale.”

Modern science backs up its traditional use!

Researchers have discovered that this folk cure is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant

But that’s not all.

It also brings potent antimicrobial action to the table…

And that can be CRUCIAL when it comes to food-borne pathogens that can cause diarrhea… like E. coli and C. difficile.

Studies are even looking into a rose myrtle leaf extract… known as rhodomyrtone… as a natural alternative to antibiotics!

And if you’ve ever taken antibiotics, you know how they can CAUSE diarrhea… or WORSEN an existing case.

Now, in vivo animal studies and in vitro studies on human cells have demonstrated the safety of rhodomyrtone…

But we’re still waiting for clinical trials to be conducted on real people.

That doesn’t mean it DOESN’T work.

It’s just that the mainstream isn’t yet CONVINCED!

A certified Chinese herbalist may know rose myrtle better by its Latin synonyms… Fructus rhodomyrti (which refers to the berries) or Radix rhodomyrti (the dried roots)…

Or by its Chinese name, Tao Jin Niang.

You won’t find this one at your local pharmacy or health food store just yet…

But that’s OK, because you’ll want a trained expert to help you figure out the right herbal blend for you… as TCM rarely uses any one herb on its own.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
