‘Red gold’ BANISHES pain… even when NSAIDs fail!
You can see the best pain specialist in the world…
But if they LIMIT themselves to taking only conventional approaches to merely “manage” their patients’ pain…
They’re an unmitigated FAILURE!
You don’t want to learn to live with pain. You want to ERASE it!
And that’s something that pain meds CAN’T always do.
Fortunately, there’s a way to PULL THE PLUG on pain… and it involves treating yourself to one of the most valuable spices in the world.
A prized possession
Saffron is so EXCLUSIVE… because it’s derived from a flower that only blooms for ONE DAY.
And each purple blossom of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus) has just 3 red strands, or “stigmas,” right in the middle… which is where you get pure saffron, a.k.a. “red gold.”
Legend has it that saffron was preferred by many of history’s ancient rulers and conquerors, like Alexander the Great.
And it’s still REVERED today, as it’s shown the ability to SHARPEN your vision… SPICE UP your bedroom routine… and more.
But that’s not all.
This “king of the spice world” can also send pain PACKING!
For arthritis pain, you can apply saffron topically to aching joints… including your knees…
And it’ll help BANISH inflammation as well as BOOST blood flow.
Saffron supplements have shown to offer a natural alternative to NSAID drugs…
As they can BEAT BACK muscle pain… especially from exercise.
In a 2015 study out of Iran, subjects who supplemented with 300 mg of saffron daily for a week before strenuous exercise reported that they were PAIN-FREE!
The NSAID group couldn’t say the same.
Research has also shown saffron to be effective against neuropathy – a type of pain that’s not typically responsive to traditional pain meds.
Saffron may get its analgesic power from its content of a type of pigment called a carotenoid.
It’s called crocin… but it’s not the only item in saffron’s bag of tricks.
There’s also the compound called safranal, which gives saffron its distinct aroma.
Safranal also acts as a natural antidepressant… which is why saffron is sometimes referred to as the “sunshine spice.”
And there’s NOTHING that can make you depressed like being in pain!
It also works on the brain chemical GABA… whose actions can contribute to pain relief.
As a result, safranal appears to IMPROVE pain sensitivity… and INCREASE pain threshold.
Now, you should know that getting pure, unadulterated saffron at the spice market can be a challenge… and it can DRAIN your wallet, too.
Fortunately, you don’t need much saffron to reap its benefits.
Look for a version of saffron extract in supplement form with a standardized percentage of bioactive compounds – not only crocin and safranal, but also picrocrocin.
In Ayurveda, it’s known by the Hindi/Sanskrit name “kesar”… and often mixed with hot dairy milk (ideally from grass-fed cows) to make a tea (or “chai”).
To pain relief that’s worth its weight in gold,
