Could this ‘seed trick’ help you DITCH stomach-wrecking NSAID drugs?
You wake up STIFF as a board…
And even the SLIGHTEST movement could put you in CRIPPLING pain.
Your joints aren’t just TENDER…
They’re SWOLLEN and INFLAMED!
You consider just going back to bed… but you know first-hand how you’ve got to find a way to KEEP MOVING to manage your rheumatoid arthritis.
Many RA patients can barely get through the day – and only by popping a few pain pills.
Your doc may try to convince you that you’ve got NO other option…
But friend, that’s just not true.
If you’re feeling like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz… I’ve got an “oil trick” that could get you kicking up your heels once again.
An anti-inflammatory superstar
Borage (Borago officinalis) is an edible plant with purple-colored, star-shaped flowers.
European herbal medicine has used the leaves of this “starflower” since the Middle Ages…
But today, it’s the seed oil I want to share with you.
Its potent anti-inflammatory action comes from its rich content of an omega-6 essential fatty acid called gamma-linoleic acid (GLA).
Clinical trials on real people have shown how borage seed oil can ALLEVIATE joint tenderness and swelling…
With effects that PERSIST as long as 6 months!
In fact, research shows that borage seed oil works SO well in some folks… they might be able to STOP taking NSAIDs
And that’s really good news for anyone who’s in the crosshairs for severe side effects from NSAIDs… like gastric distress and even bleeding.
Besides, NSAIDs were NEVER meant to be a long-term solution for pain management of a chronic disease like RA.
We’re SUPPOSED to take them only in the short term!
Taking borage oil, on the other hand, has shown to be safe for MONTHS on end.
In the studies I just mentioned, doses have ranged from 1000 to 4000 mg daily of a supplement that’s been standardized to contain at least 10% GLA.
When choosing a borage oil product in capsule form, make sure it’s been certified as PA-free… which means it contains ZERO pyrrolizidine alkaloids. Those are naturally-occurring plant chemicals that could damage your liver… but can be removed in the extraction process.
Or, you could supplement directly with GLA… which can be extracted from other sources like evening primrose and blackcurrant seed.
This polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) has also shown to improve symptoms of RA on its own.
To giving your joints some TLC,
Melissa Young
