Ladies, you won’t believe what they’re doing to YOU
A couple of weeks ago, I had an important message for the guys that hopefully helped them breathe a sigh of relief.
Well, this week is all about the ladies.
Everyone’s talking a good game about women right now. And ladies, they ALL want you to think that they’re on your side.
But don’t be fooled by the corporate wolves, my female friends.
They might be SAYING all of the right things in the “Me Too” and “Time’s Up” era, but their ACTIONS tell us something else.
Their top priority isn’t being decent to you (or anyone else for that matter).
As always, it’s pushing an agenda that drives profits.
If you want to see how the mainstream operates, just check out a little presentation called “Tailoring Statin Therapy in Women: Case-Based Considerations on the Female Perspective” put together by a Medscape panel.
It’s not just something for docs to READ. That would be bad enough.
No, this was part of the education program — a.k.a. a propaganda tool — that docs also must answer questions about to receive the continuing medical education credits they’re often required to have.
The moderator of this activity was a dude. Seriously.
That’s not to say that a guy can’t be an expert in women’s health, but when the NAME of the thing includes the phrase “the female perspective,” you’d think that MAYBE… just MAYBE… you’d want, y’know, an actual female running the show.
To provide that perspective, the “panel” was made up of two women, but don’t start the applause yet. There was also a “steering” committee… ’cause those gals have to be “steered,” right?
One of the women on the panel was part of the steering, along with not one… not two… not three… but FOUR more dudes.
I don’t know who was in the driver’s seat, but the first guy listed had more conflicts than the Middle East. I’d run out of ink trying to print his disclosure list, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it includes money from statin makers.
Oh, and the chair of the steering committee is yet another guy – the same one who’s the moderator.
Sure, they want the “female perspective.” But let’s not get carried away, right?
Cheat sheet: The answer to just about everything on this one is “more statins.”
If this was just one outrageous example, we could maybe roll our eyes and move on. But this happens all the stinkin’ time.
Just a few weeks earlier, Medscape printed another “women’s health” article by another dude.
That one was called “Should We Rethink Our Use of Vaginal Estrogen?”
Well, guess what? He’s FOR it. He also just so happens to be a consultant to – and receives “grants” (a.k.a. $$$) from – companies that MAKE the vaginal estrogen that he just so happens to be in favor of.
What a coinkydink.
These are just SOME examples of the self-serving conflicts of interest that pop up almost EVERY DAY in the world of mainstream medicine, and not just in women’s health.
In just about EVERY part of the industry.
In a perfect world, these crooks would have their licenses yanked for lack of ethics… but if they really got serious about that, there might not be any mainstream doctors left!
Of course, there IS another option here. Don’t see one of these conflicted quacks.
Take yourself out of this cycle of conflict and, if you can, visit a holistic doc who’s not afraid to challenge the mainstream… follow the science instead of the money… and actually CARE about what happens to ladies… instead of just trying to profit off of them.
