Imagine a cancer medicine 10,000 times more powerful than chemo — but that won’t cost you your hair or leave you doubled over a toilet.

In fact, if it wasn’t melting your tumors away, you’d probably forget you were taking it at all.

It almost sounds too good to be true. But researchers say they’ve recently discovered what may be one of the greatest cancer breakthroughs in decades.

I’m talking about a natural substance that may keep tumors from growing, spreading, or maybe even developing in the first place.

And the best part? It’s probably sitting in your kitchen right now.

The spice of life

You know what happens when you just try to mow over the weeds in your yard, right?

They just grow right back — and sometimes worse than ever.

And according to researchers at the Stanford School of Medicine, that’s the problem with mainstream cancer treatments today.

They may shrink tumors and even put you in remission temporarily (while they’re making you miserable with their laundry list of side effects). But they don’t yank cancer out by the root… they don’t attack the cancer stem cells that can start the disease and keep it growing and spreading.

That’s why so many cancers return, often more aggressive than they were before.

And that’s where ginger comes in.

Yes, ginger. That spice that sits up high in your cupboard, only coming out when you’re making a stir-fry or pumpkin pie.

A recent study published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal PLoS One found that a component in dried ginger called 6-shogaol was able to successfully attack and kill breast cancer stem cells.

It did that without harming any healthy cells, which is something you sure can’t say about chemo and radiation.

And here’s the best part. Researchers found they had to increase the concentration of the chemo drug taxol by 10,000 times just to get the same cancer-killing results as the 6-shogaol in ginger.

So it looks like a humble root, one used as a spice and remedy for centuries, is able to specifically target cancer’s root cause.

That remarkable study, however, isn’t the first one to show how ginger can stop cancer in its tracks.

Four years ago, Georgia State University researchers found that whole ginger extract (which contains 6-shogaol as well as other compounds) could shrink the size of prostate tumors in mice by 56 percent! And again, without causing any damage to healthy cells.

And a study just published a few weeks ago discovered that the 6-shogaol compound from ginger was able to “considerably reduce tumor incidence” in hamsters treated with a chemical to give them oral cancers.

Of course, Big Pharma can’t patent ginger. So don’t expect to see a Pfizer or Merck cancer treatment utilizing ginger’s powerful punch anytime soon.

But certainly there’s no reason you can’t start incorporating ginger into your daily routine now — either as a supplement or a delicious spice.

One caution, though — ginger may act as a blood thinner, so don’t take excessive amounts if you’re on an Rx drug for that purpose. And always make sure you stop using it a couple of weeks before surgery.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
