It’s a war that’s claiming over 500,000 lives a year.

And as we fight the battle against Alzheimer’s, it often looks like there’s no hope on the horizon. Especially for those in the front lines – anyone who’s caring for a loved one with this terrible disease.

But finally, it looks as if a breakthrough has been discovered. A find that might just solve the Alzheimer’s “puzzle” once and for all. Something that can actually reverse symptoms of the disease.

And this wonderful discovery didn’t involve Big Pharma at all.

The missing pieces

Big Pharma continues to be a bust on all fronts. In fact, its latest attempt at a cure is just a combo of two drugs already on the market, Aricept and Namenda. Both drugs that we already know are practically worthless.

The FDA even told Pfizer (in a warning about its misleading TV commercials): “the majority of patients (who took the drug) experienced no change or became worse on Aricept treatment.”

Let me say that again: Most of the patients who took Aricept either had no improvement or got worse.

But as the drug companies have been manipulating the system to try to get their “new” med approved and on pharmacy shelves, researchers at UCLA were announcing a truly remarkable discovery.

One that didn’t involve any drugs at all.

Because out at UCLA, Alzheimer’s researchers have taken a quite different approach.

Instead of just focusing on a single piece of the puzzle, they looked at three dozen. Things like sources of inflammation, nutritional deficiencies and imbalances.

And what they were able to do was nothing short of amazing. And they did it with actual patients, not rats!

The study was small, with only 10 people enrolled, but it worked — reversing symptoms of dementia in all but one of the participants.

That’s right, 9 out of 10 were able to have their symptoms reversed! And it only took a few months.

One man even said he’s in better mental shape now than he ever was before.

The 10 study patients were carefully examined, with blood tests, brain scans and other evaluations done by the doctors. And most were found to have 10 to 24 “problems” that could be causing their dementia.

“Each one of these things contribute a small piece of the puzzle,” said study author Dr. Dale Bredesen. He compared the disease to “a roof with 36 holes in it.”

For example, some people have “bigger holes” in one area, and need to focus on treatments for that, said Dr. Bredesen.

And those treatments consisted of things like raising vitamin D levels, using supplements such as DHA, improving gut health and carefully controlled fasting to normalize blood sugar levels, as well as consumption of more fresh fruits and veggies.

And most importantly, giving up all those processed foods loaded with risky additives.

One man in the study who was in such bad shape that he was sure his driver’s license would be taken from him, booted all simple carbs and processed foods out of his diet. He also started exercising more, along with taking probiotics, coconut oil, herbs and other supplements.

After being on the program for six months his symptoms of dementia were gone. At 71, not only is he still driving, he’s still working.

Dr. Bredesen said that he’s not surprised Alzheimer’s drugs do nothing, as they only address a patch for “one hole.”

And now, it looks like we’re 36 steps closer to patching all those holes and hopefully solving this heartbreaking riddle once and for all.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
