The ‘forgotten vitamin’ that will stop you from breaking a hip

It’s probably the single most important thing you can do to stay out of the hospital…and even a nursing home.

And it’s NOT a drug.

You’re probably thinking vitamin D. But you’re wrong!

This neglected vitamin can do even more.

It can keep your bones strong.

Not only that, it can help prevent osteoporosis.

And that means you can stay standing tall and strong…and living in your home instead of some assembly line nursing home.

Experts are calling vitamin K “the forgotten vitamin.”

And just about all of our dietary intake of vitamin K comes from dark, leafy green vegetables. The veggies we never seem to eat enough of.

But even if you ate spinach all day like Popeye, you would still be deficient in vitamin K.

Because what we get from green leafy vegetables is K1, which your body converts into K2 — the kind that’s best for bones. But it’s not a very efficient process.

Which makes everyone — yes everyone — deficient in vitamin K.

And that means you’re losing out on its amazing ability to keep your bones strong — and intact.

Put simply, Vitamin K can do what Big Pharma wishes all its osteoporosis meds could do.

Numerous studies out of Japan show that this vitamin can not only completely reverse bone loss, but it can increase bone density.

Researchers found that people taking a vitamin K2 supplement had a 60 percent reduction in fractures of their vertebrae and a whopping 80 percent fewer hip fractures!

Now if you’re wondering why a lot of the studies on vitamin K are coming from Japan, that could be because of a favorite food there called “natto.”

Natto is a traditional Japanese dish made from fermented soy. And it’s one of the best sources of dietary vitamin K2 there is. And remember, natto is fermented soy. And that makes all the difference.

But there’s something you might want to know about natto before you head out looking for some. Natto is what you would call an “acquired taste.” It’s a sticky-looking dish with an aroma that you probably have to be raised on to be able to stand. For that reason vitamin K supplements made from natto are much more popular with Westerners.

I know you were probably thinking this was another anthem to vitamin D at first. Well, vitamin K does have a D connection.

Studies done with people (not rats!) show that vitamin K2 has even more power to protect your bones when taken with vitamin D.

The two vitamins work synergistically to substantially reduce bone loss.

Now, if you’ve been taking calcium supplements for your bones, it’s even more important than ever that you get enough vitamin K2.

New research is showing that it can “direct” calcium to your bones, instead of places like your arteries.

And if you’re looking for a good vitamin K supplement, be sure NOT to get a synthetic version. Find one that’s made from natto or nattokinase, which is the beneficial bacteria found in natto.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
