Back in the day, when you were allowed to smoke just about everywhere, cigarettes were advertised as actually being good for you. One brand was even said to be smoked by “more doctors” than any other.

Well, it looks like one company is hoping to bring back a “doctor-approved” cigarette.

Believe it or not, there’s now a “vitamin cigarette” on the market. It’s one of the new e-cig types, the kind that’s supposed to be used to help you stop smoking.

“VitaCig” Vitamin Electronic Cigarettes come in “five exciting flavors” and offer “just vitamins + flavored vapor.”

Let’s ignore for one second that it is probably impossible to get enough of any vitamin through vaping. There are just so many ridiculous things about VitacCig.

In fact, when I saw the big ad for this product, the first thing I thought of was “Vitameatavegamin.”

That was the alcoholic tonic featured in a classic “I Love Lucy” show, its slogan being “Spoon your way to health.”

If this weren’t for real I could see it as being used in a similar skit today. “Smoke your way to health” sounds like a line they could use in one of those comic commercials on “Saturday Night Live.”
