Remember when you dialed a phone number and got to speak to an actual human being? Not some robot telling you to “press 1 for English” or asking you to say “help with existing reservation” — only to hear a computerized voice programmed to say “I can’t understand what you’re saying.”

Ahhh…the good old days.

Well, I found some secret strategies for turning back the clock…or rather the phone.

It’s called Dial A Human, and it has instructions about getting past the automated audio of all kinds of organizations and reach an actual employee. Calling Fedex? You should dial ‘0’ or say “speak to agent.” Or in the case of Rite Aid, “Don’t press or say anything.”

The site also will give you general tips for getting a real human being on the phone. For example, “Speak non-sensible phrases to confuse computer.” Or “Try speaking and repeating ‘Operator’ or ‘Customer Service’.”

And that’s good news for all of us who have had it with being told to “please listen carefully, as our call options have changed.”

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
