Are you eating six to 11 helpings per day of this hidden sugar?
It’s no surprise that sugar drives the type 2 diabetes epidemic, of course. But many people WOULD be surprised to find out that a large portion of their sugar intake isn’t obvious.
That’s because they don’t think of spaghetti as sugar. Or realize that basket of bread on the restaurant table is sugar.
Dr. Richard Jacoby, Medical Director at the Scottsdale Neuropathy Institute, puts it simply. He says, “Wheat, bread, any grain is sugar. Six to eleven helpings of grains a day, that’s absurd. That’s why we are all diabetic.”
He’s referring to USDA dietary guidelines, of course.
