CDC officials will say just about anything to sell you a vaccine
CDC officials will say just about anything to sell you a vaccine.
They’re like the used car salesmen of the vaccine industry. They’ll do whatever it takes to get you into a vaccine today.
Last year, when the CDC officially recommended that boys 11 to 13 be given Gardasil, the HPV vaccine, Discover Magazine gave us a very optimistic insight from a member of the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
She told Discover that when boys are vaccinated, their female partners will be protected too.
That’s very reassuring. It’s also 100 percent wishful thinking.
Here’s what that CDC official SHOULD have said: “Our theory is that the vaccine will help prevent some strains of HPV in boys. If that turns out to be true, then there’s the possibility that fewer girls will be infected.”
That would have been the accurate and honest thing to say. But let’s face it — you’re not going to sell millions of expensive, potentially dangerous vaccines with a “theory” that they might “possibly” be effective.
