Yesterday, I told you about how important it is to get a good night’s sleep. But I forgot to mention one of the best ways I know of doing that is using V-Calm.

Designed by HSI panelist Hyla Cass, MD, and the team at NorthStar Nutritionals, V-Calm combines soothing herbs, such as lemon balm, passionflower, and hops, along with amino acids, such as taurine (to regulate stress) and l- theanine (to promote restful alpha-wave brain activity).

Other V-Calm ingredients include:

  • L-glutamine – an amino acid that’s been shown to improve mood and reduce hostility
  • Niacin – a key nutrient for energy metabolism and DNA repair
  • Vitamin B6 – plays a key role in neurotransmitter synthesis and cell metabolism
  • Folic Acid – supports cognitive function and emotional wellbeing
  • Vitamin B12 – crucial for elevated, peaceful moods and memory (stores of this vitamin are depleted by the stress hormone cortisol)
  • Pantothenic Acid – enhances adrenal function and balances release of stress hormones
  • Magnesium Oxide – boosts vasomotor control and facilitates healthy neurotransmission, which helps manage anxiety and stress

Just one or two capsules a little bit before bed and I sleep deeper and wake up feeling better and more refreshed.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
