Someone is burning the midnight oil at WHO.

According to HealthDay News, the World Health Organization is holding a series of meetings to determine what advice they’ll give to vaccine manufacturers. The manufacturers are waiting for a go-ahead to either produce a large number of swine flu vaccines, or proceed with normal production of their 2009-2010 flu vaccines.

If they should put all or most of their efforts into swine flu vaccine production, supplies of the yearly flu vaccine will run short.

Hmmm…maybe this swine flu thing has at least one upside after all.
