For centuries, people have turned to one unusual herb for help in the bedroom.

It earned a reputation as nature’s libido booster long before modern medicine ever took notice.

Today, you’ll find it tucked away in supplements marketed almost exclusively for sexual performance.

But scientists have uncovered something far more surprising.

Hidden inside this ancient herb is a natural compound that appears to tackle one of America’s biggest health problems…high blood sugar.

In a recent study, researchers watched blood sugar levels plunge by an astonishing 44% in just 3 weeks—performing almost as well as one of the world’s most prescribed diabetes drugs.

Even more remarkable…

The compound didn’t simply force sugar out of the bloodstream. It appeared to help the body start using sugar the way it was designed to in the first place.

And here’s the best part – you can try this natural remedy for about 50 cents a day, if you know where to look.

The herb is Horny Goat Weed, also known as Epimedium.

Traditional Chinese healers have used it for centuries to support vitality, stamina, healthy aging, and sexual function. According to legend, the herb got its colorful name after a goat herder noticed his flock became unusually frisky after grazing on the plant.

But today, researchers now believe its biggest claim to fame may have nothing to do with the bedroom.

The active compound, icariin, appears to influence the body’s blood sugar machinery in some remarkable ways.

Researchers tested it in rats with type 2 diabetes for three weeks and compared the results with metformin, one of the most commonly prescribed diabetes medications.

The numbers were difficult to ignore.

Average fasting blood sugar dropped from 5.89 mmol/L to just 3.27 mmol/L—a reduction of about 44%.

Metformin lowered it to 3.16 mmol/L, making icariin’s performance remarkably close.

The improvement didn’t stop there.

After eating, blood sugar usually shoots upward.

But icariin cut that post-meal spike almost in half—from 19.3 mmol/L down to 9.81 mmol/L, roughly a 49% reduction.

Researchers also discovered something even more encouraging.

Diabetes slowly destroys tiny clusters of insulin-producing cells inside the pancreas.

These clusters—called pancreatic islets—act like your body’s blood sugar thermostat.

The icariin-treated animals lost far fewer of these important cells.

At the same time, researchers found that icariin switched on two important metabolic “master controls” known as GLUT-4 and AMPK.

You don’t need to remember those names.

Here’s what matters…

They help move sugar out of your bloodstream and into your muscles, where it can be burned for energy instead of lingering in your blood and causing damage.

That’s a very different strategy than simply trying to overpower high blood sugar with medication alone.

If you’d like to try Horny Goat Weed yourself, standardized supplements containing icariin are widely available online. Look for products that clearly state the amount of icariin like this one from Double Wood. It’ll run you about 50 cents a day.

To keeping blood sugar working with you—not against you,

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
