When you think of snake oil salesmen, you picture some old hucksters selling worthless tonics out of the back of a covered wagon.

Well, make no mistake about it, friend…

Mainstream medicine has become the new snake oil salesmen…

They’re using industry groups, talking heads, and even politicians to push risky medications that they know don’t work.

Case in point?

There’s a scheme afoot to put millions more Americans on medications they don’t need – and that are twice as likely to harm them as help.

It’s becoming a disgusting money grab, led by groups that should know better.

And, especially for the sake of your kids and grandkids, you deserve to hear the truth.

In one of the most stunning — and completely illogical – moves I’ve ever seen, the American Heart Association (AHA) and American College of Cardiology (ACC) just released new cholesterol guidelines.

Millions more Americans would now qualify for do-nothing statin drugs.

In fact, doctors would be encouraged to put patients as young as 30 on statins, even if they have just borderline risk. So this could affect your kids and your grandkids.

My jaw hit the floor when I read this…

Groups like AHA and ACC are always telling us to “follow the science.”

So let me be really clear about this – they are not following the science at all.

Because here’s what the science on statins actually says…

In patients without known heart disease, you have to treat 104 people for five years to prevent a single heart attack.

These drugs are borderline worthless. And that’s among the middle-aged and older people who take statins now – folks who are actually in the typical age range for heart attacks.

Who on Earth could look at those numbers and think younger, healthier 30-year-olds would benefit from statins?

There will be zero benefit… literally zero.

But what there will be are plenty of side effects, like crippling muscle pain and even disturbing links to diabetes.

In fact, among people without heart disease, research shows that statins are TWICE AS LIKELY to lead to a diabetes diagnosis as stop a heart attack.

These recommendations are truly, truly ridiculous… and a total abandonment of science.

So, what’s really going on here?

Well, the AHA and ACC both accept plenty of money from the drug companies, who stand to inherit millions of new customers.

Groups like AHA in particular create the impression that they get all of their cash from walk-a-thons and kids jump-roping at school — but the truth is a heck of a lot murkier.

But beyond that, I think we’re seeing plain and simple arrogance – and I’ve witnessed it too many times during my medical career.

When mainstream medicine is dead wrong about something, they don’t have the humility to admit it. Can you imagine AHA and ACC actually coming out and confessing that they’ve been steering the American public wrong on statins for decades?

They’ll never do it.

Instead, mainstream medicine has a long history of doubling down on bad ideas instead – and basically ostracizing anyone who dares to challenge them.

Well, I’m going to keep challenging them… and you should, too.

Because this isn’t just a bad idea. It’s a downright harmful one.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
