[Alert] This Sneaky Bill Could Sabotage Your Health (And Rights)
Friend, you know I like talking about Congress about as much as a cat likes taking a bath.
But this is one time I can’t sit on the sidelines…
There is an agricultural bill that is wending its way through the halls of Congress right now…
Most Americans have never heard of it – and I believe there are some powerful interests that would like to keep it that way.
Because tucked into this bill is basically a free pass for manufacturers of pesticides and weedkillers to damage your health.
You would have no rights…
And you would have no recourse…
Unless you act to stop this now.
If you haven’t read the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, who could blame you?
It’s about 116,000 words long.
So, you know, about the length of a Victorian novel.
But tucked into those 116,000 words are a couple of sections that every American deserves to know about.
Because this bill basically gives blanket immunity to makers of potentially harmful pesticides and weedkillers.
Just a friendly reminder that when our government needs to choose between protecting billion-dollar corporations or the American public, they choose the corporations.
Every. Single. Time.
The bill prevents states and local jurisdictions from imposing their own rules to protect citizens from health risks from pesticides and herbicides.
And if the products are labeled and used according to federal guidelines – and only federal guidelines – manufacturers can’t be sued if people are harmed.
Basically, if the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency blesses a product, it’s untouchable. Manufacturers can never be held accountable.
Yes, friends, we’re going to put all of our trust in the EPA…
The same EPA that claims the weedkiller glyphosate is safe, despite decades of research proving otherwise.
The same EPA that has tried to downplay the health risks of cell phones, even though animal research by our own U.S. Department of Health and Human Services found “clear evidence” of a link to cancer.
And the same EPA that has been a revolving door for ages. A report from The Intercept found that for the past half century, every director of the EPA’s pesticide office who continued working ended up employed by pesticide companies.
You can’t make this stuff up… These are the guys who will have final say – for all of America – on whether a product is safe, and you’ll have no recourse.
One member of Congress called the Farm Bill, as it’s currently drafted, “a gift to Big Chemical, plain and simple.”
BINGO.
But there’s still time to stop it. The bill is in committee right now, so this is the time to reach out to your members of Congress.
Tell them what’s in this bill – because I can promise you a lot of them haven’t read it.
And ask them to do what they were elected to do…
Stand up for us, not big corporations.
