Well, a new mega-study review by researchers around the globe further proves just how hazardous ultra-processed foods (UPFs) are!

We’ll spare you a list all the offending products—by now you probably know that, just about anything in flashy packaging with more than a couple ingredients listed on the label (or that have a slew of ingredients you can’t even pronounce) means it’s far from a natural food.

But the scale of the UPF problem never ceases to astonish…

Researchers pooled data from over 400,000 people across dozens of quality studies spanning two decades in multiple countries.

They examined industrial foods put through extensive processing, pumping in things like emulsifiers, thickeners, stabilizers—not to mention hefty helpings of sugar, fat, and salt, too.

The verdict?

Over 80% of the 45 meta-reviews found consumers of high ultra-processed foods had increased odds across a whopping 32 conditions! We’re talking everything from cancer, obesity, and stroke… to depression, digestive woes and fatigue.

Now, not ALL the evidence was deemed rock-solid. But associations were particularly pronounced between fake foods and weight gain, plus heart disease.

Links to dementia, liver conditions, asthma, and developmental delays in kids came back less clear-cut. Still, as you know we believe if something might damage your health, it’s best to play it safe!

Of course, companies pay big bucks trying to debunk these sorts of ugly reports. They’ll allege sloppy methods… inadequate data… anything to divert blame!

But the proof against chemical-laden food keeps piling ever higher. Remember, shop the perimeter of your grocery store where all the fresh produce, organic meats, and healthy fruits are—and steer clear of the center aisles where the processed junk lives.!
