Staying active and living with type 2 diabetes is important…

But also challenging!

Sure, you KNOW you need to stay active… but the REALITY is, sweating bullets at the gym takes a TON of effort… and can even be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.

But today, we’re sharing the science about two, low-impact activities you can do right in your own neighborhood that can lower your risk of type 2 diabetes nearly 75%!

According to findings published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, low impact activities—like GARDENING and WALKING—can send diabetes risk plummeting!

(These simple activities can reduce your risk even if you’re genetically predisposed to the disease!)

The study found that folks who engaged in over an hour of moderate to vigorous daily exercise were 74% less likely to develop diabetes than those leading sedentary lifestyles.

Moderate to vigorous ranged from light activities like gardening… to more upbeat movements like brisk walking… to intense exercises like distance running or cycling.

The bottom line?

GET UP and MOVE to stop diabetes!

Staying active, coupled with a healthy diet limited in refined sugars are surefire ways to fend off diabetes.

And, as mentioned, simple tasks like gardening and walking are fantastic and FUN ways to stay active without putting your body through the ringer.

If you are starting a new activity regimen, be sure to talk to you doctor first.
