Are you drinking ENOUGH water? (Surprising!)
Water is one of the best things for your body.
Not only does it quench your thirst, but it aids in countless bodily functions… from heart pumping to digestion.
Thing is, a new study uncovered that while most Americans know they NEED water…
They aren’t getting ENOUGH of it!
Are you one of them?
A new study conducted by OnePoll says that the majority of Americans are DEHYDRATED.
The latest poll found that average respondent only drinks five glasses of water every day, in comparison to the recommended daily eight glasses.
It should be noted that younger demographics did drink the FEWEST glasses of water… but even baby boomers (six glasses per day) were below the recommended eight.
We all know we need water… so why aren’t we drinking more of it?
Well, according to nearly 70% of poll respondents, they’d drink MORE water if…
IT TASTED BETTER!
I get it. Water can be bland.
But this can become a slippery slope because many folks add “flavor” to their water in the form of chemical-laden flavor enhancers.
Those are nothing but JUNK!
If you’re looking to add some taste without chemicals or artificial flavors, squeeze some fresh fruit (like lemon or lime) into your water.
And if you’re one of those folks not drinking enough H2O, it’s not too late to start.
One of the easiest ways to hit that 8-glass benchmark, is to stagger your water consumption throughout your day.
For example, you could drink two, eight-ounce glasses with all your meals… two at breakfast, two at lunch, two at dinner, and a glass with each snack in between. The next thing you know, you’ve hit your goal!
It’s also important to try and drink the cleanest water possible. It’s a good practice to use a high-quality, budget friendly water filtration system like Zero Water, which can be found at major retailers like Target or Amazon.
Remember also that water needs can vary. If have a workout routine, you’ll need to consume more water on the days you exercise. If you’re unsure about the amount for your specific needs, mention it to your doctor.
To the power of H2O,
