Men: A “breakfast” elixir that SAVES your prostate?
Gents, according to the American Cancer Society, one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime… and one in 41 will die from the disease.
Which is one TOO MANY!
But today, I have the scoop on how a popular “breakfast” elixir can bulletproof your prostate and keep you from being another STATISTIC!
Drinking coffee EVERY DAY can help fend off prostate cancer… and even IMPROVE the chances of survival if you are diagnosed.
The secret to java’s prostate protecting powers?
Two cancer-fighting elements called kahweol acetate and cafestol.
Kahweol acetate and cafestol are classified as hydrocarbons that have anti-inflammatory properties and antiangiogenic bioactive compounds—which lab studies find can prevent tumors from growing their own blood vessels, thus slowing the growth of cancer.
A recent study examined over 16 studies on coffee and prostate cancer. It compared men who consumed zero cups of coffee against guys who had one per day. Researchers found that simply adding that ONE CUP of coffee yielded a 1% DECREASE in the risk of prostate cancer over time.
But—as more cups of coffee were added (2-9 cups)—that’s when the risk of prostate cancer started to really plummet, including:
- 9% REDUCED overall risk of prostate cancer
- 7% DECREASE in localized prostate cancer
- 12% DECREASE in advanced prostate cancer
- 16% DECREASE in fatal prostate cancer in men
The same study even found that drinking DECAF coffee had the same prostate protection as the regular stuff (which is great if you have a caffeine sensitivity).
Bottom line?
If you already drink coffee—keep it going! And if not, consider starting with one cup a day, and gradually working your way up. And remember, decaf is always a great option.
