5 minute “task” LOWERS cancer risk?
Friend, lowering your risk of getting any CANCER isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.
You need to EAT right… EXERCISE regularly… stay away from UNHEALTHY vices (like smoking) … and a little bit of LUCK.
And while nobody can completely outrun the risk of cancer, these are all fool-proof steps you can take to lower your chances.
And today, I have ANOTHER preventive step you can take.
It’s not a drug… or even a supplement…
It’s something you can do from the comfort of your own home—and it takes less than 5 minutes!
An Australian study says that “vigorous” daily tasks can SIGNFICANTLY reduce the risk of certain cancers.
The research team who led the study discovered that engaging in 4.5 minutes of strenuous movements during daily tasks—even if you don’t regularly go to the gym—can reduce the risk of certain cancers as much as 32%!
The study even went so-far as to note that sweaty, household chores may be all you need to cut your risk of developing cancer.
The study concluded the reduced risk of cancer was all about what they coined vigorous intermittent lifestyle physical activity (VILPA).
VILPA is essentially short bursts of high-energy activities—around one minute each—that people perform daily. Examples include intense housework, carrying heavy shopping bags, bursts of power walking, or playing high-energy games with children.
The study found that folks who performed 4-5 minutes of VILPA had a “substantially lower” cancer risk compared to individuals who performed no VILPA.
This won’t stop all cancers—and it’s not a cure—but adding this little extra “oomph” to your day can give you some added protection!
And believe it or not, household chores also have other health benefits, including lowering your risk of heart disease.
