Prunes are most commonly known for helping you stay regular, but it turns out that just one handful of prunes can also keep your heart healthy.

Researchers found that eating prunes daily has many heart-healthy benefits.

Prunes are packed with antioxidants that DECREASE inflammation (which is the root of all disease). High levels of antioxidants and less inflammation are linked to a lower risk of developing heart disease… and improved cholesterol readings.

All WITHOUT having to take risky prescription drugs!

Luckily, prunes can easily be found at your local grocery store. I recommend organic prunes.

And be sure to check the product label and avoid prunes with added sugars as this can lead to excess calories. And remember, prunes do have a lot of fiber so be sure to stick to the recommended serving size.

Also, if you’re currently taking any kind of medication for heart disease (or even high cholesterol) be sure to have a conversation with your doctor about regularly incorporating prunes into your diet.
