Happy Valentine’s Day!

No matter how long you’ve been with your loved one, today isn’t the day you want to FORGET something!

Whether that’s splurging on dinner at a ritzy restaurant… buying a nice bouquet of flowers… or even a small present…

Just one little ‘lapse’ in memory could land you in the doghouse and ruin an otherwise memorable day!

Well, friend, I’m here to make sure you don’t RUIN your Valentine’s Day.

Because there’s a delicious Valentine’s treat that your brain will LOVE – it can IMPROVE your memory and STRENGTHEN your mind!

And, if you have a sweet tooth, you’re definitely going to LOVE it!

Chocolate – particularly dark chocolate – can BOOST your brain.

You see, dark chocolate packs a wallop of brain-enriching compounds… including flavonoids, caffeine, and antioxidants.

Flavonoids are a group of plant compounds that, when consumed, gather in the learning and memory areas of your brain.

Researchers say that these compounds enhance memory and also help slow down age-related mental decline.

And now a study out of Japan found that eating dark chocolate led to BETTER performance on cognitive tests!

After just one month of daily dark chocolate, study participants saw higher levels of compounds, allowing it to stay flexible and reduce shrinkage, which can inhibit your mind and memory.

Plus, folks that ate dark chocolate in the study saw improved blood flow to their brains.

If that’s not a great (and delicious) way to boost your brainpower, I don’t know what is!

While dark chocolate is a great way to give your brain a little extra kick, it’s important to note that it should be consumed in moderation.

Chocolate in general is calorie-dense. And it doesn’t help that most candy companies load their chocolate up with extra creams, sugars, fats, and fillings… and unfortunately, none of those benefit your health.

Instead, you should look for dark chocolate that’s as natural or unaltered as possible.

Opt for chocolate that’s more than 70 percent cacao, relatively low in sugar, and contains little milk or trans fats.

So, don’t forget the dark chocolate today!

To the sweeter things in life,

Sarah Reagan
