The upcoming holiday season is supposed to be joyful.

But if you have a loved one suffering with dementia… this time of the year can be stressful and sad.

Watching someone you love forget traditions, grapple with how to write out Christmas cards, or become agitated at the family feast is a cruel, harsh reality.

Well, thankfully there’s a glimmer of hope.

Because researchers have discovered that drinking soothing, winter “brews” could help fend off some dangerous health issues… including DEMENTIA!

Now, it’s NOT a cure, but it could provide your family a sense of long-term serenity and peace.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, we’re gearing up for frigid temperatures in many parts of the country.

This makes it the perfect time of year to enjoy a soothing, winter drink like coffee or tea.

It’s no secret that coffee and tea help warm the body (and soul) … and let’s not forget that both drinks are full of health benefits!

And new research shows those benefits keep coming…

According to a study published in in the journal PLOS Medicine, drinking 2-3 of coffee AND 2-3 cups of tea per day lower your risk of developing dementia by 28%.

Plus, the study found it can even lower your risk of stroke by 30%!

That’s right… coffee AND tea combat two of the most life-altering diseases out there!

Numerous studies have identified the health benefits of drinking coffee and tea separately … but this study aimed to identify the healing powers of drinking BOTH.

In fact, the study authors found that drinking coffee and tea separately continues to help your body fend off both dementia and stroke… BUT when folks drinking coffee AND tea throughout the day, their protection increased significantly.

And with winter weather (and colder temperatures) digging in, now’s the perfect time to start partaking in both.

For instance, if you normally drink coffee, still have your morning cup of Joe… but consider also enjoying a cup of hot tea during the afternoon.

Just remember, both coffee and tea contain caffeine. So, if you have a sensitivity to caffeine, you’ll need to be mindful.

Also remember that the study found that a combination of coffee and tea amounting to 2-3 cups per day did the trick… so be sure not to overdo it.

To a healthy mind,
Sarah Reagan
