Ignore the newest BP ‘scare tactic’ with this French tree bark
High blood pressure… the three words mainstream medicine LOVES to use to scare the bajeezus out of you!
And the latest news about managing blood pressure (BP) is enough to send a slight uptick into a full-blown geyser!
“Not Enough Older Americans Are Checking Blood Pressure At Home”
So, not only have you been labeled with high blood pressure… but apparently, you’re also not checking it ENOUGH!
Don’t believe me?
Even the CDC says that at-home blood pressure readings need to be done AT LEAST twice daily.
Look, I’m not against checking your BP levels with an at-home monitor but, not only does it fail to tell the whole story, you certainly don’t need to be tethered to a BP monitor ALL the time!
Especially since one high blood pressure reading (even at home) doesn’tmean you have hypertension!
Just think of the everyday occurrences – like your job, your family, and even the traffic – that can inevitably cause a rise in BP.
But even if you do have a high blood pressure diagnosis… it doesn’t hurt to check your levels at home, but you certainly don’t need to be guilted into doing it.
I’ve got a better solution. A French ‘tree bark’ that can lower your BP levels – no constant checking required!
Pycnogenol (pronounced “pick-naw-genel”) is a unique extract derived from French pine bark.
You see, pycnogenol’s ‘secret-sauce’ for controlling blood pressure is all due to its high levels of antioxidants – specifically heart-healthy ones called proanthocyanins.
Studies have found that the antioxidants unique to pycnogenol improve the overall functioning of your endothelium – which is the thin membrane lining the inside of your heart.
Your endothelium is responsible for the availability of nitric oxide, a compound that helps maintain a process called vascular homeostasis – a fancy term for proper blood circulation.
And the better, more free-flowing blood is circulated through your body, the lower your blood pressure will be in the long run.
Pycnogenol supplements can be found at most health food stores and online vitamin retailers. Pycnogenol is most commonly found in capsule form, but it can also be taken topically.
If you’re currently on any kind of medication for blood pressure and are considering a pycnogenol supplement, but sure to have a conversation with your doctor first.
