Fruit “snatcher” CONQUERS painful UTIs
If you’ve ever been the unfortunate recipient of a urinary tract infection (UTI), you know how painful and relentless they can be.
The pain and burning when you pee… and the “going” all too often…
It’ll put a cramp in anyone’s style!
And even if it “goes away”, UTIs can keep coming back… again, and again!
To add fuel to the fire, UTIs tend to disproportionately target seniors!
Believe it or not, UTIs are the most common type of bacterial infection in older adults – affecting at least 10% of men and 20% of women over 65!
So what can you do?
Most of us know that cranberry is proven tool to stop UTIs. The problem is, many folks aren’t getting the right kind of cranberry (I’ll get to that in a moment).
And antibiotics? Sure, they may kill UTI-causing bacteria… but they’ll also wreak havoc on your HEALTHY gut bacteria.
Today I’ve got the skinny on a clearer path to conquering UTIs. It’s natural… it “snatches” up nasty bacteria… and one study has found it works BETTER than antibiotics.
Cranberry is the gold standard for preventing – and stopping – UTIs. And I won’t argue against it… there’s plenty of science to back it up.
Unfortunately, too many folks reach for the sugar-laden bottled juice variety… or the canned goop you eat on Thanksgiving. Those won’t do the trick.
You specifically want D-mannose, a simple sugar found inside the cranberry that stops the bacteria behind most UTIs from “sticking” to the walls of the urinary tract.
So instead of bacteria taking hold and causing an infection, D-mannose “snatches” it away and discretely escorts the bad stuff out of your urine.
And once that bacteria is gone… you aren’t at risk for getting a UTI.
Antibiotics work the same way… but studies have found that D-mannose is just as effective – and, as a study shows, can be MORE effective than commonly prescribed UTI antibiotics:
A 2013 study found that D-mannose supplements worked as well as the antibiotic nitrofurantoin for preventing UTIs over a 6-month period.
A year later, researchers compared D-mannose to the antibiotic trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole for treatment and prevention of frequent UTIs.
The study concluded that D-mannose reduced UTI symptoms in women with an active infection…
And, it was MORE EFFECTIVE than the aforementioned antibiotic for preventing additional infections.
You can’t argue with those results!
Look for D-mannose in capsule and/or powder form… both of which can be found at most health food or vitamin retailers.
Dosages vary by manufacturer, so be sure to talk to your doctor about D-mannose – especially if you have a history of UTIs.
To conquering UTIs for good,
