SMOOTH OUT digestive issues with this ‘acid hack’
Friend, remember when you used to be able to eat ANYTHING… ANYTIME?
If you were like me, your youth was FILLED with eggy breakfasts… burger lunches… surf and turf dinners… and sometimes even a slice of late night pizza.
Nowadays, even a SALAD could go against you!
And FORGET about exotic spices.
You might THINK that all you can eat that won’t UPSET your stomach is a handful of crackers or maybe some white bread…
But you don’t have to DEPRIVE yourself of the foods you love… or of flavor in general… in order to CALM DOWN your digestion.
The culprit behind your digestive complaints might be a condition that affects as many as 1 in 5 American adults…
Although too many of them DON’T know what’s going on.
And that’s a shame – because it could be RESOLVED with an easy fix.
It just might explain why your “acid reducer” meds haven’t worked.
In the 1800s, scientists first isolated a nutrient from sugar beets (Beta vulgaris), called betaine…
Although since then, it’s also been discovered in other foods… like spinach and even shrimp.
I’ve shared with you before right here in eAlert how it could help keep your immune function running smoothly…
But it’s also ESSENTIAL to healthy digestion.
You see, it helps your liver digest fat… and helps your stomach acid stay balanced.
Now, I know you THINK some of your digestive problems might be coming from TOO MUCH stomach acid.
After all, the mainstream is constantly trying to sell us “antacids” and “acid blockers.”
But TOO LITTLE stomach acid could cause digestive problems like heartburn and upset stomach…
Open the door to gastric infections and nutritional deficiencies…
And even cause hair loss!
That’s why you’ve got to strike the right BALANCE.
And a special form of betaine known as betaine hydrochloride (HCl) could help you do that.
The “hydrochloride” part refers to hydrochloric acid – a.k.a. stomach acid.
And the OLDER we get… the LESS of it we tend to have.
That creates a gut environment with higher pH than ideal…
But supplementing with betaine HCl could bring that pH back down to a more normal range…
Which, to be healthy, is actually more ACIDIC!
In fact, even some conventional docs will recommend taking betaine HCl to RE-ACIDIFY the stomach after taking proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
That’s because PPIs are SO effective at DRAINING your stomach of its acid… patients sometimes don’t have enough acid left to digest OTHER drugs they’ve been prescribed.
Isn’t that TYPICAL of the mainstream? They’ll do ANYTHING to keep you on AS MANY drugs as possible!
Ask me, you could skip the PPIs altogether…
And just go for the betaine HCl… which you could take in conjunction with a digestive enzyme called pepsin, ideally at mealtime.
It’s not recommended if you already have a peptic ulcer… so check with your doc before trying it.
