Ever notice how some folks seem to keep their blood pressure PERFECTLY normal…

WITHOUT depending on drugs or restrictive diets?

Maybe they’re just lucky…

Or they’ve got “good genes”…

But when scientists have looked at trends of hypertension around the world, they’ve noticed something about certain folks in Africa.

Those with the HEALTHIEST blood pressure aren’t eating BLAND, TASTELESS foods.

They’re spicing it up!

There’s an evergreen tree from African rainforests called Xylopia aethiopica – which translates to mean “bitter wood from Ethiopia.”

But it also grows in West African countries like Ghana… Senegal… and Nigeria.

Because the wood resists termites… the African people often use it for building houses and even boats.

The Senegalese also harvest the seed pods for a kind of peppercorn… which they call “Grains of Selim”… to use as a kitchen spice.

It’s what flavors their traditional coffee drink… called café Touba.

But this culinary secret also offers medicinal benefits. African folk traditions have used it to treat bronchitis… dysentery… and toothaches.

It contains several compounds that contribute to its antioxidant action…

And in a 2021 analysis of African spices showing potential to fight hypertension, Nigerian researchers found that Grains of Selim came out on top!

Research reveals that this “seed trick” works by INHIBITING plasma angiotensin-I-converting enzyme (ACE)…

And may even OUTPERFORM the actions of one of Big Pharma’s ACE inhibitor BP meds!

Now, you may be able to find Grains of Selim in the spice aisle of your local international market…

But depending on where you live, that might seem IMPOSSIBLE.

Don’t worry – you don’t have to travel to Africa to benefit from this kitchen secret.

Because regular ol’ peppercorn may also do the trick for you!

Piperine — the active compound from black pepper (Piper nigrum) — has been shown to lower blood pressure by also inhibiting ACE.

And in India, they drink black pepper tea (“kali mirch”) to help NORMALIZE hypertension!

That’s not all…

Because the active compound in chili peppers, capsaicin, has demonstrated the ability to INCREASE the production of nitric oxide to RELAX blood vessels …

Resulting in LOWER blood pressure in animal studies.

And simply adding these types of pepper seasonings to your diet might be enough to nudge your BP numbers in the right direction.
