You KNOW you need to get outside and get moving around to stay healthy…

Especially to get your daily dose of the “sunshine vitamin,” vitamin D.

But maybe you’ve lost track of time in garden… or stayed out on the links a little too long a little too often…

And you overdid it with the sun exposure.

It could show on your face. In fact, it could put you on the fast-track to premature aging!

It could happen to you even if you’re NOT a “sun worshipper.”

Spend a lot of time behind the wheel? Your skin could be in the crosshairs for aging that gets SPED UP… even just through a windshield!

I’m sure you’ve been told that you need to SLATHER on a thick layer of sunscreen… and keep reapplying it throughout the day.

Unfortunately, a lot of the “sunblock” lotions out there are chemical BOMBS – ones that could simply spread a layer of toxins that you could absorb through your skin.

Friend, you can BEAT BACK aging skin without taking that risk.

Here’s one way.

Take the burn out of sun exposure

Porphyra umbilicalis is an ancient, edible seaweed that’s harvested off the coast of the British Isles.

In Wales, they call it “laver”… and eat it in a dish called “laverbread.”

Technically, it’s a type of red algae… and when it’s raw, its color is a dark reddish-purplish. In fact, its Latin name “porphyra” comes from the Greek word for purple dye.

But when you cook it… it turns a dark green color.

In Japan, it’s also known as “nori”… and used to wrap sushi rolls.

But its benefits go way beyond its role in international cuisine.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s known as “Zi Cai”… and it’s used as an anti-inflammatory to “clear heat.”

It’s also PACKED with protein…

And thanks to their CONSTANT sun exposure on the rocky shores of islands like Ireland… they contain an abundant presence of mycosporine-like amino acids (MAA).

Those are produced by marine microbes and sea vegetables to protect them from UV rays…

Which is why they’re sometimes called “microbial sunscreens.”

In fact, they’ve been shown to be among the UVA-absorbing compounds with the BEST activity!

But they ALSO appear to help protect against oxidative damage…

And it’s these two actions that make this type of red algae really interesting in the fight against aging.

Not just “regular” aging, mind you…

But the ACCELERATED aging that comes along with sun damage!

I’m talking about photodamage… which leads to photoaging!

And photoaging could make you look OLDER than you actually are.

That’s right – it could AGE you more quickly!

In one in vitro study, Porphyra umbilicalis seaweed extract helped cell cultures SURVIVE irradiation…

But that’s not all.

It also helped protect the cells’ DNA from damage.

In an in vivo study on real people, a topical cream that contained MAA from Porphyra umbilicalis seaweed helped IMPROVE skin firmness and smoothness…

And REDUCE the depth of wrinkles around the eyes (a.k.a. “crow’s feet”).

Those results were significant after just 4 weeks.

In that study, the cream even helped BOOST the SPF of a topical sunscreen!

Traditional Chinese herbalists may know this “seaweed trick” by the Latin name Herba Porphyrae.

It’s also found in a cream sold under the brand name Helioguard… which you can find as an ingredient in some commercial sunscreen and beauty products by M.A.D. Skincare and other quality makers who focus on natural ingredients.

If you can’t find it, try other types of age-defying algae, like Dunaliella salina or Chlamydomonas nivalis.

To aging at a healthy pace,
Sarah Reagan

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
