Ask any older person to tell you how many meds they’re taking…

And they might say, “Oh, just a few…”

But ask them to SHOW you their meds… and they’ll start lining ’em up like they just opened their own pharmacy business!

If you ask me, too many older folks are OVERLOADED with medications.

And you can bet that there are PLENTY who don’t need every single one of them.

Just look at type 2 diabetes, for instance.

The mainstream is increasingly finding that JUST ONE med “isn’t enough” to manage the disease.

That’s why we’ve seen so many diabetes drug COMBINATIONS emerge.

Now we’re seeing TRIPLE drug combinations for lowering blood sugar being approved by the FDA!

I’m getting dizzy just THINKING about it.

Friend, yet ANOTHER drug isn’t the ONLY option. And it’s not always the BEST option.

Here’s something that might keep your prescription pill organizer from OVERFLOWING.

The vitamin diabetics could be MISSING

You already know how vitamin C helps fight off a cold. It’s one of the best-known immune-boosters out there!

But what you might not have heard is how this “citrus vitamin” could also help with type 2 diabetes.

You see, vitamin C is RENOWNED for its potent antioxidant action.

And NEUTRALIZING free radicals could help STAVE OFF the development of diabetes in the first place…

And REPEL or even REPAIR tissue damage caused by skyrocketing sugar levels!

In fact, some research shows how folks with diabetes tend to have LOWER vitamin C levels…

And that supplementing with it could improve some aspects of the disease.

For instance, a small study out of Australia published in 2019 found that diabetics who took a vitamin C supplement over the course of 4 months had LOWER post-prandial blood glucose levels than those in the placebo group.

That sounds good…

But what’s even better is that the blood sugar spike after eating was 36% lower… which the study authors equate to a whopping 3 HOURS LESS of elevated blood sugar in just one day.

Now, the study subjects in this case didn’t have UNTREATED type 2 diabetes.

Some of them were ALREADY taking diabetes meds or other medications… or were following special diets or exercise routines.

But those results confirm the findings of a 2011 study out of India… in which vitamin C helped the diabetes drug metformin WORK BETTER.

Now, I’d like to see MORE diabetics managing their disease naturally… and WITHOUT any drugs…

But adding vitamin C to metformin sounds a lot better to me than PILING ON a second diabetes med if metformin on its own isn’t doing the trick.

In the first study I mentioned, subjects took 500 mg of vitamin C, twice daily , or the equivalent of 1000 mg daily.

Other research has shown benefit from as much as 2000 mg daily.

You can supplement from quality makers in each of those dosages at your local health food store or online.

If you’re not used to taking vitamin C, it’s recommended that you start at a lower dose and work your way up.

There’s a “home trick” to figuring out how much C your body can handle. You simply increase the dose until your stool becomes loose! (For many folks, that can happen at 2000 mg/day or greater.)

Once the vitamin C dose is high enough to make you go to the bathroom, you’re supposed to lower it to 75% of what caused you to poop.

So if your “bowel tolerance” level was at 2,000 mg… you’d drop it down to 1500 mg.

Make sure your doc knows what you’re planning to do so he can give you the green light… and track your progress.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
