When you’ve got type 2 diabetes, the mechanisms leading up to that diagnosis aren’t necessarily as simple as they may seem.

It’s not always a matter of eating too much sugar… and not being able to EXPEL it from your body.

Some parts of your body CONVERT the food you eat into sugars

While other parts actually MAKE sugar!

It can all send your insulin system into OVERDRIVE… as it SCRAMBLES to help your body use that sugar for energy.

But TOO MUCH insulin can have the opposite of the desired effect

And cease to clear your body of excess sugar altogether!

The more that sugar circulates through your system… and creates an accumulation of metabolic waste

The more it could WREAK HAVOC on your nerve health… your vision… and even your kidneys.

That’s why it’s important to approach type 2 diabetes from MULTIPLE directions – and not merely look at lowering a single measurement of blood sugar.

Sound impossible?

It’s not.

Here’s how an Asian “root cure” might just fit the bill.

Scratching BENEATH the surface

You probably won’t find the plant called the lobed kudzuvine (Pueraria lobata) at your local garden store.

But its dried root… a.k.a. Radix Puerariae (or “Ge Gen”)… has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 years.

In fact, it’s one of the FIRST herbs to have been used in this ancient medicinal practice!

According to TCM, Ge Gen is a “heat-clearing” herb – which means it can EXTINGUISH inflammation.

And excess inflammation is a hallmark of type 2 diabetes.

But that’s not all this cooling root can do for diabetics.

According to modern science, its key diabetes-fighting compounds are isoflavones – and the most PROMINENT one in Ge Gen is called puerarin .

Studies have shown how puerarin could improve diabetes in 4 major ways:

  • LOWERING blood glucose levels, including fasting blood glucose
  • IMPROVING glucose tolerance
  • INCREASING insulin sensitivity, and
  • SHIELDING pancreatic islets and BOOSTING beta cells

As puerarin also BEATS BACK oxidative stress and damage… by INHIBITING the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs)…

It could also help keep diabetic complications at bay.

I’m talking about diabetic retinopathyneuropathy… and even nephropathy!

In fact, one animal study showed how puerarin could actually PROTECT kidneys in diabetic subjects!

Now, the Big Pharma approach would be to ISOLATE puerarin… SYNTHESIZE a chemical version in a laboratory… TURBOCHARGE it… and sell it as a drug.

But research shows that there are MANY other isoflavones locked inside of this healing root…

As well as other active ingredients that may contribute to its anti-diabetic effects.

That’s why it’s whole dried root that’s used traditionally… sometimes ground into a powder and consumed in the form of a tea (a.k.a. “gegen-cha”).

But TCM takes it one step further…

Because it RARELY uses Ge Gen… or any other Chinese herb… entirely on its own.

In fact, Chinese herbalists and researchers alike have found the MOST success in cases of type 2 by combining Ge Gen with an herbal blend of Chinese goldenthread (Huang Lian)… Chinese skullcap (Huang Qin)… and licorice (Gan Cao).

It’s an herbal formula called “Gegen-Qinlian Decoction.” A certified Chinese herbalist can share more with you about it.

In this country, you can find Ge Gen in supplement form – usually sold under its Japanese name, “kudzu.”

Consider pairing kudzu root capsules with other diabetes-fighting nutrients, like berberine

Or look for a blood sugar support formula that contains them both at your local health food store or online.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
