‘Berry trick’ BEATS the bathroom blues [FEWER ‘emergencies’!]
If your “pee routine” has gotten out of control…
And you’re LOSING SLEEP over your frequent urges to urinate…
It can feel like your bladder is controlling YOU!
Even if your doc hasn’t DIAGNOSED you with overactive bladder…
Your bathroom breaks could be DICTATING your schedule.
But it’s possible to get some relief…
And to even make your rest stops LESS FREQUENT… and LESS URGENT.
Trust me, you won’t believe how simple it is.
A fruit for better flow
You’ve already heard how cranberries can help beat back urinary tract infections.
Even the FDA has been FORCED to acknowledge this natural health benefit!
Now, that medicinal power alone would be enough to CELEBRATE this seasonal berry all year long.
But according to the latest research, this Thanksgiving staple has got even MORE to offer.
A truly North American fruit, the cranberry was used by Native American tribes like the Algonquins to treat all sorts of urinary complaints – from the kidneys to the bladder.
And more recently, studies have shown how cranberry can benefit guys with prostate issues… and gals with overactive bladder.
Earlier this month, Cornell researchers published a clinical trial showing how a daily dose could ERASE two episodes of frequent urination per day.
And when your bladder is OVERACTIVE… all you want is for that URGENCY to subside.
Especially so you can sleep through the night without having to get up to pee.
Imagine how it might improve your quality of life… to have to RUN to the nearest restroom TWO FEWER times on a daily basis.
Now, researchers attribute cranberry’s infection-busting effects to its rich content of flavonoids called A-type proanthocyanidins (PACs).
Two of these PACs in particular… cyanidin and peonidin, pigments that lend a bright red hue to cranberries… carry strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory potential.
But for other urinary issues, it appears as though the full spectrum of active compounds found in whole cranberry extract is at work.
In this latest study I just mentioned, subjects took 500 mg daily of a proprietary powder made from whole cranberries grown in Wisconsin.
Look for a supplement that contains cranberry whole fruit concentrate in capsule form… like Life Extension’s Cran-Max… at your local health food store or online.
And while you may be tempted to load up on sweetened cranberry sauce or jelly… or even cranberry juice… the sugar content in those products won’t do your urinary tract any good.
Cranberry is safe to take for most healthy folks…
But keep in mind that it could contribute to the formation of kidney stones, especially if you have a tendency towards developing them.
Also, cranberries shouldn’t be mixed with blood-thinning medications.
To feeling cran-tastic,
Melissa Young
