Diabetics could STAY ALIVE… longer… with a hot cup of THIS

A new study claims that it could be as simple as choosing the right kind of beverage.
Researchers who followed Japanese seniors with T2D over the course of about 5 years found that a daily habit of consuming 2 specific drinks could SLASH mortality.
And fortunately, BOTH drinks are so common… you might have them in your pantry right now!
I’m talking about…
- green tea: 1 cup daily was linked to 15% lower mortality, compared to not drinking it at all
- coffee: 1 cup daily was linked to 12% lower mortality, compared to not drinking it at all.
This gets even better.
Because the MORE the study subjects drank… the LESS likely they were to pass away prematurely!
Mortality risk DROPPED to 40% lower when folks drank 4 or more cups of green tea… and to 41% lower when they drank 2 or more cups of coffee.
And LOADING UP on both beverages was associated with a mortality risk reduced by as much as 63%.
Now, that’s A LOT of caffeine for one person in a day… especially if you’re not used to consuming those levels.
Fortunately, the study revealed that drinking just 2 cups each of green tea and coffee per day could SLASH mortality risk by more than half.
The researchers don’t know exactly WHY green tea and coffee helped keep death at bay in older diabetics…
But we know how each of these drinks are PACKED with antioxidants… and have been associated with a myriad of health benefits.
In green tea, it’s EGCG, a powerful anti-cancer agent… and in coffee, it’s chlorogenic acid, which is known to protect heart health.
And the main causes of death for folks who died in the Japanese study?
Cancer and cardiovascular disease!
Or, it could be that these antioxidant-rich beverages specifically benefited diabetes to help make it a less powerful contributing factor towards death.
Research has linked EGCG to better blood sugar control and weight management in diabetics…
And chlorogenic acid appears to improve hyperglycemia and help keep diabetic complications at bay.
You can find caffeine-free green teas… decaffeinated green tea extracts… or EGCG as a supplement in capsule form.
Likewise, you can choose decaf coffee… or green coffee bean supplements that contain chlorogenic acid.
