We’ve all seen those older folks who just EMBODY what we think of as “elderly.”

They need help getting around… and can barely lift a finger to do anything for themselves.

Then there are OTHER seniors… ones who are the EXACT SAME AGE or even OLDER… who seem to have BEATEN the odds.

They’re as ACTIVE and INDEPENDENT as can be… without a HINT of weakness or fragility.

What sets one group apart from the other?

The latest research shows how it could be a humble vitamin – one I bet you thought you knew EVERYTHING about already!

Lose LESS muscle… or even REGAIN lost strength!

A new meta-analysis published in the Journal of Nutrition reveals the secret as to why some older folks remain strong and active in their later years

While others become WEAKFRAIL… and even DEPENDENT on others for care.

It has to do with one small thing they do – something that helps BEAT BACK muscle wasting, frailty, and disability.

And keeping all those conditions at bay helps PRESERVE their quality of life.

I’m talking about consuming plenty of vitamin C!

In a sample pool of over 13,000 Europeans aged 42 to 82, those with the BEST skeletal muscle mass also consumed the MOST citrus fruitsberries… and other produce PACKED with C.

The reason why should come as no surprise…

Vitamin C is RENOWNED for its potent antioxidant action.

And that can help REPEL or even REPAIR muscle tissue damage.

Left unchecked, free radicals can DESTROY muscle cells… and contribute to the DECLINE of muscle mass and function.

In fact, if you’re over 50… you could LOSE as much as 1% of your muscle mass per year.

But consuming more vitamin C… which has the power to NEUTRALIZE free radicals… was associated with nearly 4% GREATER muscle mass, compared to those who consumed less of the vitamin.

This new finding confirms what a 2018 study out of Chile found out about the link between this “citrus vitamin” and the risk for becoming frail.

Turns out in that study, participants with the LOWEST vitamin C intake were 93% more likely to develop frailty than their HIGH-C counterparts.

And it complements what came out of a 2019 animal study out of Japan – that vitamin C deficiency can actually CAUSE muscle atrophy.

The good news is that those effects can be REVERSED

Simply by RESTORING adequate intakes of C!

And that’s because this vitamin is a CRUCIAL building block in the structure of muscle tissue.

Not only does our skeletal muscle CONTAIN vitamin C… about 2/3 of our body’s total content…

But vitamin C also contributes to the production of muscle-building components like

Fortunately, you can supplement with just 1… or all 3!

To NEVER wasting away,

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
