If you’re a little “long in the tooth”… you’ve probably experienced occasional gum inflammation at one point or another.

But for some older folks, dealing with those red, swollen, bleeding gums is a DAILY struggle.

And we’ve learned how gingivitis can be the “canary in the coal mine”…

With gum disease linked to heart disease and even arthritis

Now, the latest research sounds the alarm about ANOTHER condition that could follow more severe forms of gum infections (a.k.a. periodontitis).

I’m talking about TWO different types of cancer  ones you might think wouldn’t have ANYTHING to do with what’s going on in your mouth!

So, if you’re looking at gum disease or even tooth loss as part of getting older, here’s what you need to know right away.

The toothless truth about cancer

A recent analysis of tens of thousands of men and women… whose health was monitored over the course of more than two decades… reveals a STARTLING truth that your dentist may NEVER mention to you.

It’s about how your oral health could be linked to OTHER health issues.

Specifically, I’m talking about cancer

According to this latest research, a history of periodontal (a.k.a. gum) disease is linked to an elevated risk of esophageal adenocarcinoma  one that’s 43% higher

And the risk of gastric adenocarcinoma could skyrocket by a whopping 52%.

This gets worse…

Because if your gum disease has loosened your teeth to the point of a couple of them falling out… the risk is even GREATER.

How could this be??

Well, the researchers’ theory is that it all boils down to the health of the oral microbiome

That’s right – your mouth has its own delicate balance of “good” and “bad” bugs

And your ORAL bacterial flora can get disrupted… just like your GUT flora can.

Scientists call this condition “dysbiosis.”

A dysbiotic oral microbiome has previously been associated with DISTURBING immune function

And that could certainly put you in the crosshairs for cancer.

Now, we don’t know exactly WHAT the composition of the oral microbiome looks like when it’s linked to these two types of cancer… or WHICH bad bugs could be responsible.

It’s probably a combination of factors… and a combined effort of certain “usual suspect” pathogens.

That’s why it’s important to maintain a good balance in your mouth as well as your gut.

There are 2 key ways of doing that:

  1. Maintain an excellent oral care routine that includes brushing, flossing, and regularly visiting a dentist
  2. Supplement with probiotics specifically designed for oral care, which usually come in lozenge form.

Your dentist can recommend specific techniques and products…

Just be sure to AVOID any pastes or washes that contain fluoride and/or triclosan.

And if gum disease has already taken hold, there is a strategy you can take — one that you’ve probably NEVER thought of.

Support your immune system!

Believe it or not, vitamin D is an immune-boosting nutrient that could help you KEEP your teeth… STRENGTHEN your jawbone… and MAINTAIN healthy gums

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
